Russia’s Kaspersky Lab to close Ukrainian subsidiary
KIEV, Dec 14 (PRIME) -- Kaspersky Lab Ukraine, a subsidiary of Russian anti-virus software maker Kaspersky Lab, has declared liquidation under a decision by the owner, as follows from a statement published in the official newspaper of the Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday.
Creditor demands will be accepted within two months from publication of the announcement.
A representative of Kaspersky Lab told PRIME attributed the decision to the fact that the Ukrainian government limited foreign economic relations of Kaspersky Lab Ukraine. “But this circumstance by no means affects our clients and partners. The products of Kaspersky Lab are still being sold on the territory of Ukraine via distribution channels,” the person said.
Ukraine added Kaspersky Lab and another antivirus software maker Dr.Web to the expanded list of anti-Moscow sanctions in September 2015.
